Success Stories at Hope SA

Namritha Sivsanker  project leader of Hope SA shared some impacts to the communities they aim to serve from the donations and the support they get from their Donors and the Hope SA ambassadors.

As a charity we provide basic necessities food, water which is fundamental to survival. We strive to exceed expectations by ensuring that charitable funds are used in a timely manner and directed towards areas when and where they are most needed making real impact in communities, we serve.

Hope SA Foundation works in partnership with smaller groups, churches, and charities to donate surplus groceries and products to people in need.

They have purchased and distributed 40 x 2000 litres of water tankers to communities, churches, and schools to assist with water supplies after extensive flooding in KZN. Access to clean water has become a huge problem in South Africa especially now after the recent disasters we need more water tanks and boreholes.

Hope SA also supported the victims of GBV and donated 3000 Safer women care products care packs which included shower gel, hand and body lotion, lip balm, deodorant, sanitary pads, soaps, educational material and safety tools.
Hope SA has distributed more than 20 000 food hampers with basic necessities in the flood affected areas and we continue to assist the needy. We have a huge waiting list now for food hampers as we continue to support families with groceries for a month.

Hope SA continues to cook meals and distributing healthy lunch for school children, elderly and the unemployed. This meal is often the only healthy meal they can enjoy for the day. To date Hope SA has served more than 550 000 meals since 2020 and our impact is appreciated and recognized by leaders. Our outreach extends as far as supporting the community during disasters like, the recent Boksburg explosion in December. Hope SA supported families on the ground with food and supplies for orphaned families as well.

Hope SA provided a much-needed food assistance to families in our community who were struggling to make ends meet due to the economic crisis. Hope SA has raised awareness of food insecurity and the need for ongoing support for local foodbanks and other organizations that provide food assistance. Hope SA has encouraged community members to get involved in supporting their neighbours who are in need.

Your support and donations help to ensure that the vulnerable children in South Africa have access to regular, nutritious meals. This helps improve their health, wellbeing and overall quality of life even during time of economic crisis.
